Personalized Twitter T-Shirts and Where to Buy Them
Last night, @CalebWidrick and I drove to Syracuse, New York for a tweetup at the Double Tree Hotel. We did this primarily because (1) I love networking events, (2) @Mitch_M had been inviting me to a ‘Cuse tweetup since last year and I had yet to hit one up and (3) Twitter rocks my world and I’m always game for anything social media related.
Don’t know what a tweetup is?
Noun
tweetup (plural tweetups)
- A real life meeting organized on the social networking site Twitter.
(Definition source: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tweetup)
Having attended tweetups in my hometown in the past, I was familiar with this type of networking event (and thoroughly enjoyed them) but I’d never gone to Syracuse for one before, primarily because it’s about an hour’s drive for me.
When I got this tweet from Mitch the night prior to the event, I thought, “What the heck? I’ll go. I’m not doing anything tomorrow night.” (I’ve also been wanting to spend more time in the city anyway and this seemed to be a good way to start.)
I made my mind up to go and started making plans. Being the fashionista that I am, I immediately started thinking about what I was going to wear. I can’t help it. I always plan my outfits out at least a day or two in advance when I can. (Go ahead, chuckle. I know I look better when I do this, so think what you want about it. Haha.) My mind quickly drifted to the Twitter t-shirt I purchased online last summer that had been sitting stuffed in a drawer for way too long.

In short, this shirt was an awesome choice. Everybody wanted to know where I ordered it, and I was the only one wearing a shirt personalized with my own Twitter name (@mandeewidrick). I didn’t even need a name tag (#WINNING!).
So, want to know where I got it?
Personally, I had mine created by following the instructions on Ted Murphy’s blog, but you can check out any of the links below if you want one that’s a little different from mine:
- Twitter Shirts on Zazzle
- @me Shirts
- TwitLogo (Download your logo, and order shirt from site like CafePress)
- CustomInk Twitter Designs
That’s really all you’ll need for choices, as those links give you plenty to choose from. So go for it, order your Twitter shirt, and then post of photo of yourself wearing it on my fan page or in a tweet! And to all of those who attended the tweetup last night, it was way fun. I look forward to doing it again.
