Mandee Widrick is a social media consultant, marketing coach and public speaker. She is founder and CEO of ChargedUp Media, a marketing company specializing in online campaigns and training for businesses around the country.

 

Always an independent spirit, she grew up with a desire to run her own business, and experimented with many projects throughout her teen years. At age 15, she won $200 in a contest for original poetry, which led her to realize that she could be creative and do something she enjoyed while making money. This was where her entrepreneurial side began to reveal itself, and she then moved on to begin writing for various magazines and publications, eventually becoming editor of Bit & Bridle Magazine (no longer in print).

 

In January 2010, she founded Horse Family – a blog and online magazine for equestrians. Through experimenting with social media to promote her site, she found a new love for marketing, and it wasn’t long before other business owners began to ask Mandee for help with their online marketing endeavors. In May 2010, she then launched ChargedUp Media. Social media consultant and speaking is now her primary business, though she still enjoys operating Horse Family as a side project.

 

Mandee additionally speaks and teaches to large groups, sharing her passion for social media marketing with business owners and entrepreneurs. She frequents schools and colleges in her hometown with the hopes to inspire young people to pursue what they love in life.
