Weekends.

They come slowly and fly by quickly, yet I’m finding weekends off are just wonderful. To summarize this past weekend, I slept in on Saturday. Oh it was nice. I bummed around working on a few mag pages then took off and spent the rest of the day the Brennan’s house for Katie’s grad party (where I learned how to play some game called Catch Phrase – too fun). By 10:30pm – when I finally left – I picked up my friend Melinda and we ate an abundance of brownies leftover from the party when we got back to my house. We woke up to rain Sunday morning which cleared off before too long and went to church. After that I went to a horse show where I saw my favorite show judge and got to talk to some people about Bit & Bridle. It was productive even though I’d opted not to set up a table at the show this time. From there I went shopping briefly then came home and took a refreshing swim in our pond. The water felt so good after spending the day in long sleeves and cozy cowboy boots. I ended the day with a walk down the road with Mom.

Really, the weekend involved very little work and mostly play. It’s something I don’t get to enjoy often and hopefully I get to spend more of my weekends like this one. :)
